Bees and neonicotinoids
Neonicotinoids used in agriculture as insecticides are considered to be the main cause of the decline in the bee population in Europe. The main one but not the only one, because in truth the problem is complex and according to some scholars there are also other causes such as climatic variations, the reduction of bee habitats, accidents during treatment with pesticides and the incompetence of hobbyist beekeepers.
